Ethical Sourcing

In an increasingly competitive and global market place, ethical sourcing is an essential part of any business strategy. The selection of the right supply partners is vital to the long term success of our business.

A&D will not compromise in our approach to the ethical manufacture of our garments.

We only work with supply partners who can prove that the garments that they supply are manufactured in ethically and environmentally sound facilities where the rights of the workers are respected, the safety of workers is guaranteed and a living wage is paid. We will not accept the use of child labour anywhere in the supply chain.

Our Ethical Policy outlines the minimum standards expected from our suppliers and we work with all suppliers to ensure that standards are continually improved. All approved suppliers sign up to the A&D Ethical Policy and suppliers are subject to an ongoing process of assessment and review.

Our ethical sourcing strategy is built on developing long term and open relationships with our approved suppliers, we therefore look to extend this relationship to our customers and welcome our customers to visit our manufacturing facilities.

Environment

Recycling runs throughout our organisation in order to improve the efficiency with which finite resources are used.

We ensure our manufacturers have appropriate management controls to minimise their impact on the environment and ensure only fabrics and dyes that conform to the latest recommended health standards which are safe to use are incorporated in all the garments we supply.

Guidance has been taken from Social Accountability International’s SA 8000 Standard and
the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code.
