Over the years of experience we have in supplying corporate wear to a wide range of clients we have seen considerable developments in fabrics. With the increased influence of design and retail into corporate wear garments, our fabrics we have developed fabrics to ensure that our customers are provided with garments that are fit for purpose, design led and durable.
Traditional heavy weight polywool fabrics have been replaced by lighter weight polywool with lycra, more recently nano technology has been incorporated into fabrics to further enhance the wear ability and endurance of garments. Easy care is a key requirement for corporate wear garments and fabrics such as non iron shirting have been developed to cater for this requirement.
The change in fabrics outlined hasn’t however altered the strict test requirements for corporate wear fabrics. Fabrics used in our garments are tested to the strictest standards using fully accredited labs. Tests including abrasion resistance, colour fastness, snagging and tensile strength are carried out on fabrics prior to specifying them for use in our garments and throughout the life of a contract.
Many customers maintain the same range of garments for a number of years therefore it is essential that colour continuity is maintained throughout a contract. Our team of Technicians ensure that each batch of fabric produced matches the colour standard agreed at the outset of a contract.
With the shift in production to the Far East and Asia dual supply of fabric is often required. Our fabric testing partner has a worldwide network of fully accredited labs throughout Europe, Asia and Far East. Fabrics are tested to the same strict standards wherever the fabrics and garments are produced.
